One night in 2012, the servers hosting my favorite online message board went down.  Since I was unable to share the great deals I scored at the Gilt City Chicago Warehouse sale with the board, I decided to finally start that blog I had been contemplating.

Chicago skyline.

My heart belongs to Chicago - the city in which I was born and later earned my Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering.  However, I grew up in Las Vegas, NV and you know what they say - you can take the girl out of Vegas, but you can’t take the Vegas out of the girl.

I wear leather and hardware more than the average person and don’t shy away from wearing sequins in the light of day.  Liquor laws confuse me, as do destinations that lack 24-hour establishments.

At Envision Fall 2014 in Minneapolis.

Currently, I work as an electrical designer with the building design team at a multi-discipline design firm in Minneapolis, Minnesota.  While -30 degree days in winter are rough, Minnesota summers are by far the best I’ve experienced.

This interest in fashion and being able to write about it gives me a creative outlet I can’t always find at work.  Other than fashion and style, I love trying new restaurants/beers/whiskeys, going to concerts/art galleries/other live entertainment, my job, my Toastmasters community, and spending time with my family and friends.

Remember, when in doubt…
...leave town to figure it out.
...wear black.
...sweaterdress.
...follow other girls wearing impossibly tall shoes.
...throw an egg on it.
